This coffee is sourced from Coopedota, a coffee cooperative in Santa Maria de Dota, Costa Rica that dates back to 1960. Over 900 farmers contribute to the co-op harvesting over 65,000 bushels every year. Coopedota is praised for its quality along with its sustainability efforts. In 2011, the co-op was recognized for being the first carbon-neutral coffee producer in the world. Coopedota strives to produce great coffee while maintaining strict environmental standards in the areas of recycling, renewable energy, and waste-water reduction. At Manchester Coffee Company, we’ve roasted this coffee to represent its maximum natural sweetness.
