This coffee was produced in cooperation with Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS) who manage the majority of Tanzania's coffee production. Smallholders who are registered to an AMCOS qualify for support in production, processing, storage, transport, marketing, and government aid. This coffee comes from the Hezya AMCOS, which started with 50 smallholder coffee growers and has grown to its current number of 295 members from the region. The coffee is taken to a cooperative facility after harvest to be collectively washed, dried, and processed for storage, milling, and grading before transport.
We taste black currant, raspberry, passion fruit, and tea-like.
