Charge is comprised of 100% washed Honduras, roasted in two parts then blended to showcase and balance its acidity. It comes from Finca Terrerito in the Copan region of Honduras. Finca Terrerito is a 150-acre farm and production facility that we have been purchasing from through direct trade since March of 2021. The owner, Adelmo Lopez, is a 4th generation coffee farmer and USA veteran. The farm is certified USDA organic and fair trade TSA.

This coffee is produced by small holders from Tablón de Gomes, Narino. This region is characterized by its mountainous topography and frequent rainfall. It's cold climate aids in slow ripening of the cherries, which helps the coffee develop more sweetness. It is a well balanced coffee that is great with or without cream, making it a great option for anyone!

This micro-lot is 100% a natural mutation of Typica, which is a yellow cherry when ripe. Yellow cherries have been shown to be sweeter than red cherries and have an increased textile sensation in the final cup profile. This coffee was exposed to a 24 hour dry aerobic fermentation, then moved into grain pro bags for 90 hours, causing the cherries to have a higher lactic acid content. 

We have loved having this coffee in our lineup! It is a fun, interesting, and delicious coffee for the adventurous coffee drinker. If you like to try something different and new, this is the one for you!
